Update: As expected, heroes that previously bore the mantle of Senior pilot Marvel will cost returning for the 'The Go of the Marvels' write up arc kicking polish off in September's Captain Marvel #32. Or at to the lowest degree one will anyway.

Genis-Vell, Son of the original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell), will reappearance for the plot line, joining Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan when a "caliginous presence" from earlier in writer Kelly Thompson's run mysteriously reemerges.

"Months ago, Carol was trapped inside a twisted translation of her own cause. Now the incubus prison has returned…only it's not Carol inside," reads Marvel's description.

That last bit is a admonisher that Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel isn't the only Wonder Comics hero to conjure the publisher's name in their private identity element - not aside a long shot.

Strangely enough, the early Hero to utilisation the Marvel name was Robert Grayson/Marvel Boy, who first appeared style, way back in 1950, when Marvel Comics was still publishing below the advert Timely Comics. Well, in that respect's a dark possibility that Mar-Vell, Carol's mentor, may return from the dead in a real way for the first time since his 1982 death - which could spell out large ramifications across the Marvel Universe and could bring in some or each of the aforesaid 'Marvel' heroes As break u of the legacy of Captain Marvel.
